For proud villages and villagers everywhere:
A call to arms in response to Blake's 'London'.

You forgotten destinations, be empowered:
No charter'd stops have you on charter'd trains,
So time has come to break those rails. This hour;
Oh Hamlets, villages met with disdain,
Is yours, so mark today on London's face.
Set forth brave swains, and break your charter'd lines,
Push Green bound'ries right through this black'ning place
Free paradise from it's urbane confines.
Though we are humble, no woe marks our streets,
No curse dwells in our youths, nor blights our hearts,
Green echoes will shatter their arms concrete,
Now hear our battle-roar and fear, upstarts!
Cry out, and break those manacles iron-forged:
For the Longshaw Estate! And Padley Gorge!
