The Will (Sonnet)
The Will (Sonnet)
Written by Neil Baker
My Uncle Tony, what should he get?I think I’ll give him my student debt.
That’ll teach him for killing my fish,
For him to pay is my dying wish.
To my dad I leave my movie collection,
So he can witness the true films of action.
He never appreciates the Terminator saga,
Not even after ten pints of lager.
To my friend Jim I leave my guitar,
So he can play like a Led Zepp star.
He has an electric; he plays it fine,
But my acoustic is top of the line.
When I die, that’s what you’ll all get,
But hold your horses; I’m not dead yet.
