Lager, Beer, Wine and Cider
Lager, Beer, Wine and Cider
Written by Hayley Foy
Her thoughts are turned on that rainy Friday,To lager, beer, wine and cider.
Work is a joke; the kids drive her mad,
The pub is the only escape that she has.
The froth, the bubbles, the malt and the hops,
She has to go now as the cravings wont stop
Mirrors, key, ignition- drive,
She hopes they'll be waiting for her to arrive.
She walks in the pub and they're there at the bar
But she can't stay for long though- she's in her car.
She finally drinks her wonderful pint,
And one is enough; she'll call it a night;
But lager, beer, wine and cider;
They've bought her another and put it beside her.
Two- Three- Four- No more!
And she picks up her car keys and walks to the door.
Mirrors, key- Focus! Ignition,
Convincing herself it's a good decision.
Brake discs, windscreen, air bags and sirens,
Lager, beer, wine and cider.
