I know of seven sins of which
We humans must avoid,
The first of which is Wrath that means
We shouldn’t get annoyed.

The next one Gluttony suggests
That food is much desired,
While Sloth believes that certain folk
Feel work is unrequired.

Next, pleasures from the body are
The elements of Lust,
And Greed is known as wealth or gain
Through practice that’s unjust.

Obsession with one’s self not God
Is Pride the selfish sin,
While Envy dreams of lives and traits
Which we wish were within.

The seven sins are not complete
Without my number eight,
We are all guilty of these sins
And so decide our fate.
